JC grew up in a military family, graduating high school in Stuttgart, Germany where he played football and wrestled. After high school, JC joined the Army where he was a part of the 101st Airborne Division and served in Afghanistan in 2014. Once he separated from the military, JC pursued his passion for sports medicine by attending the University of Tennessee for his undergraduate and Wingate University in North Carolina for his DPT. JC is an avid sports fan, especially passionate about football and hockey, but he is above all a big Tennessee Volunteers fan and will sing Rocky Top at any moment. In his free time, JC enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and riding his motorcycle through the mountains.
