We are here for YOU.

Dr. Lorne "Mac" MacDonald has been providing physical therapy care in Colorado Springs for 17 years. He and his wife opened Colorado Institute of Sports Medicine in 2016 as the first "Sports Medicine" clinic in Colorado Springs, we treat a variety of athletes and provide game coverage for hockey teams, Olympic athletes, and other teams upon request! Although we are a sports medicine focused clinic, we also provide care for the general population. We frequently treat patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric ages with varying diagnoses, including orthopedic, neurological, or post-operative.

Since opening our clinic has grown to 6 physical therapists, 3 physical therapy assistants, and others to provide the highest quality of care to our patients. Patient care is of utmost importance to us and we involve our patients during each step of their rehabilitation process.

Our highly educated and experienced team work with each of our patients to set up an individualized therapy plan. We take the time to involve each patient in the decision-making process and help set realistic goals for you or your loved ones to return to the highest level of function possible. We listen carefully to your needs and concerns, perform a comprehensive examination, explain our findings to you and then develop a treatment plan specifically for YOU. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, relaxed and friendly environment for everyone. We take special care of our patients and are always available via text during evenings and on weekends if you have concerns during non-clinical hours.

We implement multiple techniques to ensure the best care of our patients. We use soft tissue mobilization, trigger point dry needling (TDN), Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim), and assisted stretching (FST) to accompany exercises to improve recovery outcomes.
