We are here for YOU.

Since the early 2000’s, Dr. Lorne MacDonald (“Mac”) and his wife Beth MacDonald have pursued serving the community through private practice by providing the best in one-on-one high quality physical therapy.

After many years of private practice, Colorado Institute of Sports Medicine was founded in 2016 as the first "Sports Medicine" clinic in Colorado Springs. Although “sports medicine” is our hobby, physical therapy is what we do!

We welcome those of all ages and walks of life. No matter what your goals may be, we will create a rehabilitation program to fit YOUR needs. Whether it may be running an ultra-marathon, or being able to pick up and hold your new Grandchild, our goal it to get you back to doing what you love!

Patient care is of utmost importance to us. To ensure quality of care, we provide one hour treatment times one on one. We look forward to involving you, providing education, and taking you through every step of the rehabilitation process.

Our highly educated and experienced team work with each of our patients to set up an individualized therapy plan. We take the time to involve each patient in the decision-making process and help set realistic goals for you or your loved ones to return to the highest level of function possible. We listen carefully to your needs and concerns, perform a comprehensive examination, explain our findings to you and then develop a treatment plan specifically for YOU. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, relaxed and friendly environment for everyone.

We implement multiple techniques to ensure the best care of our patients. We use soft tissue mobilization, Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN), Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim), and Deep Fascial Release Therapy to accompany exercises (at times including Blood Flow Restriction (BFR)) to improve recovery outcomes.
